5 Spine-Tingling Halloween Events in Darwin

It is Halloween very soon, get your costumes out and use this as an excuse to go out and have a great time! We will be damned if we do not take it as an excuse for a spooky time. There are plenty of parties, tours and immersive activities happening around Darwin for you to get in a festive mood. In this blog, we are going to tell you about the best events happening in Darwin for Halloween:

COVID-19 Update
Before we begin, please bear in mind that the current COVID-19 restrictions in the NT do not have a major impact on Halloween events, as long as Territorians observe the following physical distancing and hygiene requirements at all times:
• a minimum space of 1.5 metres between you and other people that you do not know
• avoid touching your face, cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow
• handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser
• stay home if unwell
#1 Electric Storm Halloween Music Festival

4:00 pm – 11:59 pm; Saturday, 31 October

Rise from your grave, summon up your ghastly costumes, conjure up your wicked crew and enter if you dare, the Electric Storm Music Festival will definitely celebrate the spookiest night of the year. Gravely scary DJ talent will take over Darwin Ski Club with some of the country most ghoulish dancers and performers to keep you on the edge all night long.
There will also be hair-raising sound, eerie lighting and spine-chilling production to make this night a terrifying once you will certainly remember. Come meet other ghosts, vampires, monsters and the undead and be in the running for the AU$ 2000 Best Dressed competitions. It is going to be one hell of a night.
#2 Halloween Bowling Party

Muster up the crew, don your best Halloween threads and head to Planet Tenpin for the Halloween Bowling Party. By paying the entry fee, you get 2 hours at the bowling alley and competitions are organised all day for you to win treats and prizes.
The alleys will be transformed with spooky lights from 3 pm, with special Halloween shakes for the kids as well as scary cocktails for the grown-ups. It is time to get howling, oh nope, bowling.
#3 Territory Wildlife Park Halloween Disco

Join the Territory Wildlife Park Halloween Disco at the Territory Wildlife Park for the creepiest night of the year! There will be Spooky Disco with DJ Kev where you can listen to some world-class tunes, Haunted Night Walks for a thrill walk (bring a torch), and ride the Ghost Train & spot the friendly ghosts.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Ensure that you get into the spirit and dress up as there are prizes for best costumes. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
#4 Messy Play

Come join the Messy Play with 7 multi-sensory messy stations created for your children to discover, explore and create. Multi-sensory play programs will be available, designed for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers ranged from the age of 6 months to 4 years.
The programs are designed to support child development with fine and motor skills, hand and eye coordination and communication. Everyone will be able to meet and socialise in a friendly and safe environment which will encourage quality creative time.
#5 Ghostly Gathering

Blow the dust off your broomstick and fly into City of Palmerston’s Ghostly Gatherings at Gateway this Halloween. Gateway Shopping Centre organises activities for kids and Event Cinemas programmed a great afternoon of Halloween-themed films.

• 2:45 pm: Gremlins (PG)
• 4:00 pm: Insidious (M)
Movie bookings are essential as seating is limited. If ticket holders do not show on the day, a maximum of 20 minutes past the above-scheduled start time, their tickets will be allocated to others. Tickets are not exchangeable or refundable.
You can also dance your creepy style at the silent disco before zombies chase you through the hair-raising City of Palmerston Haunted House. There are many prizes to be won so make sure you put your best scary costume on!

If you are just looking for a night to purely enjoy the Halloween atmosphere, Halloween Spooktacular has got you sorted. Save the date and go join the fun at Darwin Sailing Club.
Before dark, there will be a lot of activities for the kids. Then as the sun goes down and the moon comes out, there will be after dark event begins for the grown-ups. So come with your family and trick or treat yourselves.
