Are you an international student wanting to relocate and study in Australia’s Northern Territory? Applications are now open for the Study NT International Student Accommodation Grant. The grant will assist international students with their relocation costs when moving to the Northern Territory.
The grant will cover the first four weeks of the student’s accommodation fee at either UniLodge Darwin at Casuarina or International House Darwin which is located on-campus at Charles Darwin University (CDU).
Applications are open to international students who have been accepted to study with an international education and training provider in the Northern Territory. Before applying, students should familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of this grant program, which are available here.
For more information and to apply visit www.StudyNT.nt.gov.au.
Applications are open until 1 June 2022.
You can benefit from special prices and live on a campus with other students at UniLodge. They offer accommodation options for students for about $200 per week for a bedroom for one person in a 2 bedroom apartment.
Most students like to share a house with other people. This is very common in Australia and it also helps to get a good deal for a room. People usually put up an ad when they have a room that is free in a sharehouse. Depending on what is on offer and your budget you can have a room for yourself and just share common areas like the kitchen, living room and bathroom, or also share the room with someone. You can find sharehouses on these websites :
You can stay with an Australian family and get a real immersion in the Australian culture. They will provide you with a place to stay and help you discover the area and local customs. Depending on the package you choose, you can have your own room or share one, get meals included and even airport pickup. Check the AHN website to see what the options are.
